LB supplies large-size tile production technology to Varmora
LB will deliver a technological tower and aesthetic kits for the Indian manufacturer’s new plant for the production of 800x3200 mm, 1200x1800 mm and 1600x3200 mm size tiles in thicknesses ranging from 6 mm to 15 mm.
Varmora, one of India’s top five ceramic tile producers, has commissioned LB to supply a press feeding plant for its new large format technical porcelain tile production line. Together with the technological tower, LB will also supply the Flaketech and Rolltech aesthetic kits for creating terrazzo and concrete effects.
Based in Morbi, Varmora has been in business for almost thirty years and has around 4,000 employees. It has a daily production of over 110,000 square metres and exports its products to over 60 countries worldwide. It has always been highly attentive to technological innovation and was one of the first Indian ceramic tile producers to adopt digital printing technology.
The new slab production plant will have a capacity of up to 10,000 sqm/day and will produce the following sizes: 1600x3200 mm with a 12 mm thickness, 800x3200 mm and 1200x1800 mm with a 15 mm thickness, and 1200x2780 mm with a 6 mm thickness.
The technology ordered from LB will meet the Indian group’s need to improve the aesthetics of its new products and expand its production range, with guaranteed operational flexibility and full compatibility with the moulding and decoration technologies adopted.
