Mectiles chooses Elema for its electronic components
Mectiles Italia, a supplier of new and used machinery for the ceramic industry, has commissioned Elema to produce all the electronic components for the machines that it produces directly, including both hardware and software. The automation units therefore start out at the Mectiles Italia production unit, which builds the mechanical parts, and are then transferred to the new partner, also based in Casalgrande (Reggio Emilia), which installs the electronics and performs programming, start-up and testing.
Elema has many years of experience in automation for a range of industrial sectors. It adopts used and out-of-production items as well as new in-stock products, delivering the solution that achieves the best quality for lowest costs. It also provides a warranty on repaired and replaced components.
The company has a repair centre for boards, drives, industrial PCs and a wide range of dedicated operator panels. The after-sales and electronic support service performs maintenance work, tests and inspections directly on-site. This often includes the Change & Go formula which involves replacing a defective part with a functioning item to avoid costly machine stoppages. For a number of machines, it procures compatible electronic parts if the originals are no longer on the market.
At Tecnargilla in Rimini the two partner companies are exhibiting in a single stand. Mectiles is presenting its new range of automations and modifications to existing plants, increasingly geared to the production of large sizes and the use of digital decoration techniques. Elema is also launching Evolution Clean, an innovative inkjet printhead cleaning system developed by the newly-formed R&D department. Evolution Clean performs customised, versatile cleaning processes that are compatible with the majority of printheads on the market. These processes are automatically based on predetermined parameters according to the different printheads and type of cleaning required. The system is specially designed to be used in chemical laboratories, spare parts warehouses, digital printer factories and service and support centres.
