Plenary Meeting of System overseas branches
On 22 and 23 September, System's headquarters in Fiorano hosted the Plenary Meeting of the managers of its twenty international branches located in Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Bohemia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, United States, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
Coordinated by System's Market Operations Manager and Foreign Branches Manager, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strategies for promoting the Group's ongoing international development and was held a few days before the start of the Open House organised during Cersaie.
The international branches are one of the strategic levers behind System's strong performance figures, which include 15% consolidated growth and a projected turnover of around 440 million euros this year. The group employs 1,500 people, including 500 overseas.
The latest technological innovations developed in Fiorano are key components of this success, including the Creadigit digital decoration system and GEA technology for the production of large-format panels, which is currently used to produce 35 million square metres of ceramic panels worldwide.
Another major contribution is being made by the Modula automatic vertical storage systems, demand for which is growing strongly in a range of industrial sectors. This upturn in demand is prompting new investments aimed at expanding production capacity in both Italy and the United States. A new production line was opened in September by Chairman Franco Stefani at Lewiston, Maine (USA).
