Premier Lab starts up in Spain

The new centre dedicated to training and innovation in the field of ceramic surface finishing has been in operation in Alcora since September 2019.

Premier, a company based in Villaverla (Vicenza) specialising in the production of diamond tools for processing porcelain stoneware, started up a laboratory for research and development of new production techniques in the field of ceramic surface finishing last September in Alcora, Spain.

Research conducted in-house by Premier Lab has led to the design of new satellite heads for use in the lapping process, an innovation that has already attracted great interest in the target sector. In addition to the development of new production systems, Premier Lab also carries out specific tests on new diamond tools and on the gloss and satin finish, the latter being particularly in demand from tile manufacturers and glaze and colour producers. Premier Lab’s highly-skilled technical staff also organise specialist training courses in the use of the new tools for the various types of ceramic surface processing.
