The reawakening of the tableware sector in the Far East and the higher demand for sanitaryware manufacturing technologies in the region together with the consolidation of traditional markets in North Africa and Central and South America are the key positive factors that have enabled Civita Castellana-based Setec Group to close fiscal 2015 with approximately 30% growth in sales.
The forecasts for 2016 are even more encouraging thanks to further strong growth in orders. For the group led by Domenico Fortuna - which consists of the brands Setec, Ipeg, Vicentini and the Mexican subsidiary Setec Messico - the sanitaryware sector continues to make up the core business accounting for more than 80% of turnover. Customers include some of the world’s largest groups such as Kohler, Corona, Deca, American Standard, Toto and Villeroy Boch.
One of the group’s distinctive features is its internationally recognised expertise in the technological aspects of the production processes, from body preparation to traditional casting, robotic glazing and most recently firing.
In this segment it not only operates under the Ipeg brand name but at the end of January finalised the acquisition of Coeltunnel Srl, a company owned for several years by Sait and Nexus group (Civita Castellana).
Coeltunnel is a leading player in the segment of tunnel and shuttle kilns for bricks and tiles, sanitaryware and tableware and has installed approximately a hundred kilns during its 40 years of business. Its advanced design capabilities and the innovative technologies developed over the years make a further contribution to the expertise of the Setec Group, which plans to bring together all its firing plant operations under the two brand names Ipeg (roller kilns) and Coeltunnel (shuttle and tunnel kilns).
