Silktile reaches 500 installations worldwide
As a result of the latest commercial agreement between CMF Technology and one of the most important Italian ceramic groups, the number of Silktile model fired tile brushing machines sold worldwide has reached 500.
This important target was reached due to the innovative characteristics of the system, which is capable of producing tiles with unique surface finishes by means of a simple and effective procedure. Silktile, originally developed for the purpose of eliminating firing residues from porcelain tiles by means of a dry brushing process, has undergone a series of upgrades and is now available in 2, 3 and 4 head models. The machine has angled heads to increase the efficiency of the brushing action and at the same time to reduce the risk of marking or scratching the tile surface. Silktile also has an automatic correction system that self-regulates the work height so as to control the brushing pressure applied to each tile.
In the highest performance 3 and 4 head versions, CMF Technology has developed and personalised various machine settings, which together with an in-depth study of the types of abrasives on the market allows Silktile to be used for the widest range of materials and surfaces (full-body, press-glazed, glazed, smooth, textured and bushhammered porcelain tile). Depending on requirements and the chosen setting, Silktile improves the aesthetic effect of the machined surfaces, making them glossier and brighter and considerably increasing their softness to the touch.
