Kryo receives new orders

The latest deliveries in January bring to 15 the number of Smac Kryo coolers in operation at the Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola Group’s facilities.

Smac  has received new orders in Italy for Kryo, its innovative technology for cooling ceramic tiles prior to decoration with digital printers. Amongst its latest installations is the one completed in January for Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola, bringing to 15 the number of Kryo coolers currently in operation at its facilities which produce more than 20 million sqm of ceramic tiles and slabs annually.

Kryo’s technology (covered by European patent EP 2957846 issued on 24/07/2019) resolves problems arising from high temperatures and above all vapour emission during digital printing, allowing for increased production and a significant improvement in finished product quality, even in the case of high-thickness products.
