Galzing & Decoration: Vidres launch of two new product lines
The innovative spirit of Vidres has been further enhanced with the launch of two new product lines.
- High-definition screen prints, called HDM, capable of producing highly original effects due to the unusual reflection of light. Contrasts of light and luminous reflections are very fashionable decoration features that are present in many decorative elements. The advantage of this range of HDM products is their application versatility as they were developed for all types of ceramic products (floor and wall tiles and trim pieces). HDM screen prints have excellent abrasion resistance and can be used as the final application over any kind of glaze to improve resistance.
- Opalum products on the other hand are designed to meet the need on the part of a number of architects, interior designers and decorators to return to the essence of traditional and artistic ceramic. This range of glazes was created with latest generation products capable of emulating the mother-of-pearl and raku effects of artistic ceramic, which were previously impossible to achieve with industrial single firing cycles. Due to the use of ever larger sizes and high firing temperatures, the idea of ‘pure’, i.e. artistic and special, ceramics has been abandoned. Opalum has been specially developed to reproduce all these effects such as iridescent, reactive, mother-of-pearl, etc., thus creating a very unusual ‘retro’ style.
