INCO launches its revolutionary black ink

The new black ink represents a major step towards a more sustainable future and superior performance.

Inco Industria Colori, a historic glaze and colour producer from Pavullo (Modena) and leader in the production of inorganic pigments, continues its journey into innovation. Its latest new innovation is a high-performance black ink formulated with a completely nickel-free pigment, combining technical excellence with environmental sustainability.

The uniqueness of the new ink lies in a number of features, foremost among them being the pigment formulation, which entirely excludes nickel, a heavy metal potentially hazardous under certain conditions. While scientific studies have shown that nickel poses no risk to operators when integrated into the crystalline structure of the pigment, Inco has chosen to eliminate it completely from the formulation. This decision not only ensures maximum safety but also responds to increasingly stringent environmental safety regulations.

In terms of performance, Inco’s new black ink delivers exceptional colour quality with a neutral, intense and deep black. It ensures precise and uniform application without pinhole issues, making it particularly suitable for large lapped slabs.

The ink stands out for its combination of environmental and economic sustainability. Its nickel-free composition and reduced content of volatile organic compounds make it an eco-friendly choice in line with the latest trends in the ceramic sector. Additionally, the High Solids formulation minimises product consumption and improves cost efficiency. By eliminating nickel, a raw material subject to significant price fluctuations, the ink also provides a competitive advantage and ensures greater long-term cost stability.
