L.B. Officine Meccaniche
The coloured particles are thus blended with the spray dried product in the GRC, where all the particles come into contact with and are coated by the oxides. As a result, the clay granules are coloured only on the outside and are therefore ideal for all products such as shaded or micronised powders and bases for double-filling where the perfection typical of a plain colour is not required.
LB offers versions for continuous operation with a capacity ranging from 1 to 18 ton/h and versions operating on a batch (discontinuous) basis with a 75-500 litre capacity range. A laboratory version is also available for tests.
The flexibility and simplicity of this kind of system allow for customisation in accordance with the user's actual requirements in terms of both space and output. Excellent results have also been achieved with very small quantities of colour, with a consequent cost reduction. Using this technology, the spray dryer always operates in the same conditions and only has to prepare one kind of powder (colour).
This considerably simplifies both the preparation of the coloured slurry by means of one of the systems described above and the handling of different kinds of powder, which would otherwise have to be stored in silos, extracted, batched and mixed. This results in fewer tanks and silos and reduced space and management requirements.
