TECNARGILLA 2004: Ferro

At Cersaie and Tecnargilla, the leading colour manufacturer Ferro is continuing its communication strategy of combining research into raw materials, colours and the most important ceramic technologies with the latest fashion and colour trends.

While Ferro is not a ceramic tile manufacturer, it nonetheless feels the need to acknowledge and embrace this change in culture in order to offer its customers stimulating creative ideas and useful information that goes beyond purely technical characteristics and performance of materials. Ivory and Ebony, Clay and Chalk, Camouflage and High Visibility are the style, material and colour families suggested by Ferro for 2005 and which can be seen on the tiles exhibited at Cersaie and Tecnargilla.

A preview will also be provided of the stories included in ‘Moods 2006’, the next trend publication developed specially for Ferro’s customers and due for release by the end of the 2004. Both in Bologna and Rimini the latest production technologies show examples of how Ferro’s products can be applied.

These are “Granitoglass”, a series of granulates and micronised powders specially developed for the production of porcelain tiles using through-body and double-filling techniques, and “Stardust”, 15 coloured crushed frits for use in dry applications. A large display inside the Ferro stand called FAStory, an area devoted to the Ferro Applications Systems division, explores KERAjet inkjet technology and the evolution of Ferro’s glazes and inks, specially developed for this technology.
