Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the new Monolithos DCM 175 filler box, specially designed for through-body products. The Ceramics&Tiles division will also be exhibiting a firing module and two cooling modules for the single-layer FMP 2850 tile roller kiln. The firing module features a new damaged roller warning system. On the cooling modules, visitors will be able to view a set of longitudinal blower tubes and a simulation of the wall-mounted optical pyrometers. A demo will explain how the longitudinal blowers operate and how production gaps in the rapid cooling zone are handled.
Also on show will be Sailor, the new touch screen control panel specially designed by Sacmi for its own kilns. Sailor has two computers for separate control of production process and production data. New features such as the interactive online task guide, the plug-in hard disk, real-time backup of the control system, management of more advanced recipes and the quality of the interface make Sailor extremely reliable and user-friendly. Tecnargilla 2004 will also see the launch of Global, the double-boom sorting line that has undergone a complete aesthetic and ergonomic overhaul. The Global unit features an intuitive man-machine interface, making the sorting line extremely easy to read with newly-designed colour graphics allowing for immediate identification of the most important machine zones (sorting, control, packaging). The line will be exhibited with the revolutionary XV5 vision system developed by Sacmi, which allows Global to classify tiles by quality and identify defects automatically without any need for an operator.
At Tecnargilla 2004 Sacmi will also be showcasing Brio, its revolutionary new handling technology. The Brio vehicle, equipped with an odometric-inertial guidance system, automatically manages calls from the palletization line and evacuates and starts the pallet packaging line accordingly. It is also possible to install an automatic production control system to allow for automatic pallet card application. Lastly, the Group’s exhibition area will also have a space set aside for the new Sacmi Imola division dedicated to traditional brick/roof tile products. Hall B1 will feature a stand devoted to another recent addition to the Group, the German company Laeis, which will be showing visitors a full range of machines and services for the ceramic industry.
