Tecnargilla Preview - SITI-B&T Tiles & Sanitariware
Siti-B&T Group will be showcasing their excellent range of machines for the ceramic tile, sanitary ware and digital industries at Tecnargilla 2010.
Siti-B&T's stand (014 in Pavilion C1) will cater for all the sectors served by the group's various business units, and will allow visitors to enjoy carefully arranged spaces where they can try out the excellent technologies on display.
Pride of place will be given to the whiteware industry, for which the group's Sanitaryware Division offers a series of excellent technical solutions. The stand will exhibit fully functional robotic processing islands, made up of casting machines, glazing and kiln car loading/unloading stations, so that customers will be able to see the technology at work.
Siti-B&T will also be exhibiting the new environmentally friendly Nova 1 Plus kiln for the production of prestige ceramic tiles, equipped with the latest energy saving systems. The latest models of the group's LGVs with dual laser and magnetic guidance systems will also be on display, alongside the BBOX storage system.
Siti-B&T Group will also be presenting its latest hydraulic press, the Evo 6608 XXL, with a free clearance of 2450 mm and a pressing force of 64,720 kN. This new press has been developed from the tried and tested Evo series and incorporates unique, innovative and added value solutions.
The superbly reliable, high precision loading carriage can load conventional powders and powders for advanced through-bodied tiles.
The high performance of Evo presses is ensured by a monolithic structure exclusive to Siti-B&T. This structure gives excellent rigidity and strength, and ensures the harmonic distribution of asymmetrical loads as well as coherence between the mobile crosspiece and the fixed table.
Excellent overall rigidity, together with efficient control of parallelism between cross member and bed, drastically reduces problems associated with loading irregularities, and guarantees dimensional repeatability and finished product quality.
The structure has an unmatched ability to work to minimum tolerances and displays outstanding versatility and adaptability to changes in loading criteria.
The new press is equipped with a tried and tested, energy-saving, hydraulic system controller, which uses energy recovered by a dynamic accumulator (inertial flywheel) to operate fixed flow pumps. This design strategy minimises energy consumption, particularly when normal wear and tear in the hydraulic circuit makes it inefficient to store energy in large, pressurised accumulators.
Even in the standard configuration, Evo presses are equipped with a Syncro multi-actuator demoulder featuring an improved design and new accessories for better repeatability and precision and easier access.
Siti-B&T Group's wide-clearance presses guarantee considerably higher productivity than presses with standard column clearances since they can accommodate a larger number of cavities without reducing speed. The mould housings on these wider presses are also able to accept particularly deep moulds.
New products are also being presented in the area of decoration. These include an interesting digital decoration island developed in partnership with Projecta Engineering, now part of Siti-B&T Group. The stand will be displaying the group's top of the range digital inkjet decorating machines, featuring "drop on demand" technology and capable of working with pigmented and unpigmented inks. A resolution of 360 dpi gives superb print quality
A high visual impact gallery in the centre of the stand will show off hi-tech tile products and act as a meeting area for customers.
Among the many new products on show, emphasis will be placed on a mega-format porcelain tile of 1200x2400 mm, created using the GRESTREAM® plastic forming process developed and patented by Siti-B&T, and produced in series by a leading German tile manufacturer.
The stand will offer visitors an opportunity to see for themselves how Siti-B&T has improved its after-sales service to provide not only traditional technical assistance and spares but specialist on-line tele-assistance too.
