Ancora supplies large-size tile technology to RAK Ceramics Iran
RAK Ceramics has installed two finishing lines supplied by Ancora (Siti B&T Group) at its facility in Tehran.
The first, a polishing, squaring and chamfering line complete with HiCoat surface treatment, will be used for the production of large size tiles up to 1200x1200 mm.
The second is a Speed-Dry dry squaring and chamfering line which will be used for finishing large-size ceramic slabs and panels. This line stands out both for its environmental sustainability in terms of energy savings and the elimination of water consumption and for the advantages it brings in terms of durability, lower maintenance and reduced diamond tool consumption.
Thanks to Siti B&T Group’s attention to Total Cost of Operation, these technological solutions allow for considerable savings in terms of operating costs, which tend to be very significant for this kind of machine.
The partnership with the UAE multinational testifies to the value of the finishing technologies developed and patented by Ancora and to the company’s specific know-how in the large-size tile segment.
RAK Ceramics produces more than 110 million sq.m of ceramic and porcelain floor and wall tiles and 5 million sanitaryware pieces a year. It has 16 facilities in the United Arab Emirates, India, Bangladesh and Iran and an annual turnover of around US $1 billion.
The company is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in the United Arab Emirates and on the Dhaka Stock Exchange in Bangladesh.
