“CERAMICS OF VALUE”: Ceramic World Review Technical Conference to be held on 11 December in Modena

With 16 technical talks, the keywords of the day will be digital decoration, sustainability and efficiency.

Following the success of the 2023 edition, the technical conference entitled “Ceramics of Value” is back again this year within the ceramic cluster of Sassuolo, aimed at professionals working in the Italian ceramic surface industry.

Organised by Ceramic World Review and CeramicWorldWeb in collaboration with ACIMAC (the Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers’ association), the event is due to take place on Wednesday 11 December at the RMH Des Arts Hotel in Baggiovara (Modena).

It will feature a full day of in-depth discussions focusing on the value of ceramic products and the way that technologies and materials can boost their competitiveness through improvements in aesthetics, technical quality and sustainability.

The event will be divided into two thematic sessions consisting of a total of 16 technical talks given by leading suppliers of materials and process technologies. The morning session, entitled “Innovations in digital decoration”, will be followed in the afternoon by “Innovations for more efficient and sustainable processes”.

  • INNOVATIONS IN DIGITAL DECORATION

With talks by Colorobbia, Sicer, Vetriceramici, Smaltochimica, Projecta, Sacmi, System Ceramics, Kerajet and Durst, the morning session will focus entirely on surface design and aesthetics, exploring the latest innovations and future developments in digital decoration and glazing while anticipating emerging trends.

  • INNOVATIONS FOR MORE EFFICIENT AND SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES

The afternoon session will focus on improving efficiency, environmental sustainability and decarbonisation in the ceramic production process. Presentations by Imerys, Sacmi, Solar Turbines, BMR, Surfaces Group and B&T Group will cover the entire production chain, from raw materials to innovations in the forming, drying, firing and finishing stages, as well as smart grids and CO2 capture solutions.

The afternoon session will be concluded with a talk by Stefano Lugli (ACIMAC), who will discuss the latest developments regarding the highly topical issue of the “5.0 Transition Plan in the Ceramic Sector”, providing practical examples to illustrate its implementation.

A wide report of the day will be featured on both the printed magazine Ceramic World Review and online here at CeramicWorldWeb, where we will upload the video recording of all the presentations.

The conference will be entirely in Italian. Click here to view the program
