Colorobbia and Bardelli at the 60th Venice Art Biennale
Colorobbia and Bardelli have collaborated with artist Sol Calero for her Pabellón Criollo project.
Art and ceramics merge seamlessly in the project Pabellón Criollo by Venezuelan artist Sol Calero, showcased at the 60th Venice Biennale from 20 April to 24 November.
The project renews the longstanding collaboration between Colorobbia and Ceramica Bardelli, two icons of Italian manufacturing, which have worked together for an installation dominated by colour and creativity, where Italian ceramics meet art and architecture, and color becomes the element of union between the artist and the two partners to evoke emotions and sensations and transform architectural spaces.
Pabellón Criollo is a manifesto of cultural integration, a “mescla” – or “mixture” – of excellences that combines creativity with a unique sensitivity towards sustainability and material recycling. These are also the core values of Colorobbia and Gruppo Bardelli, which are renowned worldwide for the quality of their raw materials and products, their unique Italian style and their special focus on sustainability.
The partnership between Gruppo Bardelli and Colorobbia for the Pabellón Criollo project establishes a vital link between art, culture and the ceramic industry. In this initiative, the two companies reaffirm their commitment to beauty and innovation and to maintaining the Italian ceramic tradition through projects and initiatives that promote creativity and artistic expression.
Their partnership with Sol Calero was facilitated thanks to a combination of synergies and knowledge with Architect Diego Grandi’s studio DGO, a surface design expert who collaborates with Colorobbia and with a variety of ceramic brands, and the Francesca Minini art gallery, which represents the artist.
Sol Calero, a Venezuelan artist based in Berlin, creates site-specific installations that become spaces for meeting and interaction. Her work is distinguished by its vibrant, luminous and playful creativity while drawing on her background marked by a diverse blend of Latin American cultural influences.
