Cosmec designs new cutting line for the US market

Cosmec is working on the design and construction of a new cutting line for one of its main US customers, a leading player in the heavy clay industry.

The equipment is designed to ensure maximum operational flexibility given the numerous sizes to be produced, including facing brick with or without chamfers on 3 sides and outdoor pavers with the possibility of creating chamfers (orthogonal or radial) on 4 sides and reducing installation spacers so as to ensure a perfect finished result without breakages.

The multi-wire cutter is able to process 32 facing bricks with each operation so as to ensure full production capacity over 16 working hours. The installation confirms Cosmec’s role as a key player not only in the design of kilns and dryers, but also in the design of automated systems for handling the highest quality products.
