Cottocer saves energy with SITI-B&T Group
At the end of 2010, Cottocer, a Pamesa Group ceramic manufacturer based in Onda (Castellón, Spain), started up a pressing and firing line supplied by SITI-B&T Group for the production of red body monoporosa ceramic tiles. The new line has an output of 12,000 sq.m/day and consists of a Magnum 2008/1750 press and a latest-generation single-channel roller kiln with entrance width of 3200 mm and length of 102.12 metres. The supply package also includes a storage system serving the main process machines. The new plant will enable Cottocer not only to increase its production but above all to achieve maximum energy savings and therefore minimum fuel gas consumption in the firing stage thanks to the energy saving devices designed and developed by the Group’s Greenergy division.
