Dall'Ara named new sales manager for VitrA Italia
Eczacıbaşı Building Products, the division of Turkish group Eczacibasi responsible for producing ceramic tiles, sanitaryware and bathroom furnishings, has appointed Sandro Dall’Ara as sales director of VitrA Italia, the branch opened in Sassuolo last spring.
The aim is to implement strategies for promoting the VitrA brand, a well-known international player in the designer ceramic sanitaryware and bathroom accessories sector.
A native of the Italian city of Belluno, Dall’Ara has a degree in Economics & Business from the University of Trento and a Master’s degree from the SDA Bocconi in Milan and Berkeley University in San Francisco, and boasts many years of experience in the ceramic sector.
In 1996 he joined Ceramica Dolomite as Product Manager, then moved to Concorde Group and subsequently Riwal as strategic marketing director and board member. For 4 years starting in i he worked for Sanitec (now Geberit) as head of the Pozzi Ginori brand, then in 2010 he accepted the appointment to launch Rak Ceramics sanitaryware in the Italian market with excellent results. Under his leadership, the UAE-based brand became the third largest Italian player with sales of more than 400,000 pieces in 2018.
Eczacıbaşı Building Products is a global player with 13 facilities (5 in Turkey and 8 in Germany, Russia and France) where each year it produces more than 5 million pieces of sanitaryware, 30 million sq.m of tiles, 400,000 bathroom furnishing units, 3 million taps and 350,000 baths.
Along with VitrA, the division has three international brands: Burgbad for premium bathroom furnishings, Villeroy&Boch for tiles, and the German tile brand Engers.
