DBL Ceramics, a new brand in Bangladesh
A new player recently burst onto the Bangladesh ceramic tile manufacturing scene. DBL Ceramics started up its first production line at the end of 2016 and plans to add a second line by December this year.
The official opening ceremony and brand launch was held on 16 May in the presence of numerous figures from the world of economics, industry and politics, including no fewer than five Bangladesh Government Ministers and the Mayor of Dhaka, where the factory is located.
Doing the honours were the Chairman of DBL Group, Abdul Wahed, together with M.A. Rahim (Vice Chairman), M.A. Jabbar (Managing Director) and M.A. Quader (CEO).
DBL Ceramics is one of the 22 companies belonging to DBL Group, a diversified industrial group with core businesses spanning textiles, telecommunications, packaging materials and now also ceramics. Founded in 1991, it has 28,000 employees and posted 2016 revenues of US $365 million.
