The new plant supplied by LB to the Bangladeshi company to expand its range of technical porcelain tiles has successfully completed start-up testing.

Two new robotized glazing booths are now up and running at full capacity at the sanitaryware production plant in Trishal, increasing production output to approx. 300 pieces per workshift.

The Bangladeshi company is already a longstanding Sacmi customer in the tile sector and with this investment aims to achieve ambitious productivity and quality targets in sanitaryware production

LB’s participation in Ceramics Expo in Dhaka has led to new supply contracts with the ceramic tile producers AKIJ, DBL and SHELTEC.

Tile production in Bangladesh has grown by 150% in the space of just 5 years, reaching 119 million sq.m in 2018. DBL Ceramics stands among the local largest ceramic tile producers.

The Great Wall Group member company has received two new HWS shuttle kilns and a TWS tunnel kiln to ensure its success in the high-end ceramic sanitaryware market.

DBL Ceramics (Dhaka, Bangladesh) started up its first production line at the end of 2016 and plans to start up the second one by December this year.
