Elema joins the Certech Group

R&D investments are already planned to expand the Evolution Clean and Easy Test series.

The Casalgrande-based Certech Group ended 2023 with the acquisition of Elema (Castellarano, Reggio Emilia) in the fourth quarter of the year. Founded in 2011 as an electronics repair laboratory in the field of industrial automation, it took just a few years for Elema to establish itself as a major partner for the ceramic industry. Its success was largely due to the introduction in 2014 of Evolution Clean, a patented laboratory machine for the cleaning and reconditioning of digital printheads, and the subsequent development of industrial Inkjet printing automations.

Evolution Clean’s market success can be attributed to a number of factors, including specific sensors that allow for short and customisable processing cycles and the fact that the device is fully automatic and compact, has low energy consumption and operates without the need for compressed air.

Following its acquisition by the Certech Group, new R&D investments have been planned with the aim of developing new models of Evolution Clean for sectors outside the ceramic industry, as well as designing and marketing an innovative version of the Easy Test printhead testing device.
