Expert Lab Cloud is the new service developed by Modena-based company Expert Lab Service to help ceramic laboratories manage experimental data and create knowledge.
It automatically backs up instrumental data, allowing users to consult and organise the data history and retrieve previous file versions via a rapid and intuitive web interface. The platform enables data produced by the laboratory to be shared by different branches, remote operators and external collaborators, all with granular permission management.
Expert Lab Cloud seamlessly integrates with the ELS-MDF thermal analysis instrument, which combines the essential ceramic analysis functions of Heating Microscope (M), Optical Dilatometer (D) and Optical Fleximeter (F). The data provided by the instrument are interpreted and indexed by the system, which allows advanced queries to be performed and provides rapid plotting and consultation functions for microscope images. This service is not limited to ELS-MDF, and the capability to interpret data produced by other instruments is continuously expanding.
Building on its many years of experience, Expert Lab Service has developed algorithms tailored specifically to the needs of the ceramic world, including calculation of quartz content from the expansion curve and automatic determination of the coupling temperature. The system also analyses the instrument’s configurations and thermal behaviour to identify and rapidly report potential faults.
