Gruppo Serenissima Cir becomes "Gruppo Romani"
Serenissima Cir Industrie Ceramiche is now officially Gruppo Romani SpA.
A change in business name, first and foremost the will of Cav. Lamberto Romani, who also assigns Chairing the Company to his sons Giorgio and Paolo, with control over the Group’s five brands: Serenissima, Cir, Cerasarda, Cercom and Isla.
An important step forward for the company founded in 1968 and now an internationally affirmed and recognised business in the field of ceramics, but also in human and family terms, conceived and accomplished with a focus on development which will see Giorgio and Paolo Romani working along the way paved by their father.
“As part of the natural development of the Group, the decision to entrust the company to Giorgio and Paolo was something I strongly believed in and pushed for”. - comments Cav. Romani - A choice of continuity, in line with the concept of progress and research for cutting-edge solutions which has always been the hallmark of my work”.
The transfer of power choice is also important in view of strategic repositioning for the five brands of the Group. From now on these will be the key players, each according to its own well defined and recognisable identity.
The Group’s Board of Directors, besides Giorgio Romani as Chairman, Lamberto and Paolo Romani, and Alessandro Mattioli as Managing Directors, also includes Mauro Cappelli, former Managing Director (CEO) of the Isla brand, taking office as a Group Director.
Gruppo Romani, with a market presence spanning almost 50 years and facilities in Casalgrande, Rubiera, Roteglia and Olbia, has over 400 employees, an annual production of about 8,000,000 m2 and a turnover of EUR 110 million, 80% of which is exported to 90 countries worldwide.
