Imerys Ceramics India wins award in Jaipur
Imerys Ceramics India took part in the second edition of Ceraglass in Jaipur, India from 15 to 18 December, where it received an award for its range of innovative products for the tile, sanitaryware, tableware, electrical porcelain and glass industries. For tile production, it displayed the kaolins Kaolinor 1C, Kerbrient and Imerys CR, products that are appreciated worldwide for giving tiles a smooth and defect-free surface suitable for digital decoration. In response to demand for ever whiter minerals for engobe and glazes, Imerys Ceramics has developed innovative solutions such as Zirex-T, a partial substitute for zircon in ceramic body.
For the sanitaryware industry, Imerys Ceramics India introduced ball clays and china clays capable of increasing casting rates and surface whiteness while considerably reducing production rejects. For the tableware sector, the company presented Premium, the china clay with the highest degree of translucency on the market. Ceraglass also hosted a series of conferences on topical issues for the industry. Mr Cedric Poilly, Glaze and Engobe Product Development Manager at Imerys Ceramic Centre in Limoges, gave a technical presentation on the importance of kaolin in glaze formulation for digital printing.
Imerys Ceramics will be showcasing its entire Zirex range at the forthcoming exhibition Indian Ceramics, to be held in Ahmedabad on 19-21 March 2013.
