Increase in number of installations of Ferrari&Cigarini cutting machines
Ferrari & Cigarini has completed several major contracts in the European market to supply machines for brick cutting and for producing strips, ceiling tiles and corner pieces.
It recently completed two installations, one for cutting facing strips and the other for producing corner pieces. A further two strip cutting lines will be supplied over the next few months. These solutions are proving particularly popular thanks to growing demand for walls clad with thin facing strips glued to loadbearing walls.
The latest plants were ordered by world-leading brick-making multinationals (masonry bricks, facing bricks, terracotta and concrete pavers) headquartered in Austria and Belgium and with manufacturing facilities in more than 30 European countries.
The scope of supply includes the MTA003 brick cutting machine, designed by Ferrari & Cigarini for corner facing strip production, and the MTM 700/4, an automatic 4-head multidisc system suitable for producing strips, insets and ceiling tiles by means of straight cuts. It has the flexibility and practicality necessary to cut many different sizes and formats as well as large thicknesses.
