Lioli Ceramica to produce large designer sizes using System technology
Indian company Lioli Ceramica has confirmed the forthcoming implementation of a major plant engineering project devoted exclusively to the production of porcelain surfaces in sizes up to 1.6x3.2 m and thicknesses from 6 to 20 mm. Designed and built by System, the new plant will be installed at the facility in Morbi, Gujarat and is scheduled to be up and running by the end of 2017.
The heart of the production line is the LAMGEA 44000t mouldless pressing system, while glazing will be performed by a glazing line consisting of 3 Creadigit BS systems for high-definition digital printing and the Rotocolor system for screen printing decoration. These state-of-the-art technologies are capable of recreating any graphic detail (such as the reproduction of prestigious natural stones) with the utmost precision and a definition of 400 dpi.
Thanks to the use of System technology, Lioli Ceramica will be able to produce large-size tiles and panels for conventional uses (floors and walls) as well as innovative applications such as ventilated façades and designer laminates for kitchen countertops. The project meets the Indian company’s growth objectives in international markets. Lioli is aiming to sell its new high-quality materials principally in the United States and Europe.
