Lucideon CICS launches V-MARQ

Lucideon CICS, one of the world’s leading experts in sustainability verification and company certification based in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, has recently launched V-MARQ, the first independent certification system for the manufacturing origin of products.

The initiative, which was developed in response to growing demand from manufacturers, certifies a product’s place of manufacture, endorsing the numerous “Made in…” labels that exist.

The certification scheme is being rolled out across a wide range of manufacturing sectors including the ceramic industry. It has already been awarded to tableware manufacturer Steelite International (UK) and will soon be adopted by a major tile manufacturer. V-MARQ will not support products that are “designed in” or “packaged in”, but endorse only products that are actually made in the place where they claim to be made.

To do this, Lucideon CICS goes to the client’s manufacturing site and performs scrupulous checks (production schedules, invoices, etc.).

To date the V-MARQ badge has been awarded to 1280 products, all listed on the register of certifications published on the website www.v-marq.com.
