Maax from SanMarco adopts new colours
One of the latest experiments conducted by the SanMarco laboratories has led to the launch of a new line of bricks, now enhanced with new colours.
Called Maax (an Italian acronym for “extra-large artistic and architectural brick”), it is extremely modern in terms of both its size and colour. A contemporary architectural language, biocompatibility and environmental sustainability, as well as compliance with the new performance and thermal and acoustic insulation requirements are the main characteristics of the new line of bricks.
The elongated, slender proportions together with accentuated shade variations make it suitable for both the domestic and export markets. The colours were produced by processing clay mixes with a high level of contrast. The novel dimensions (up to 49 cm) mark a shift away from traditional brick walls towards more daring design solutions.
