Major technology partnership between System and New Pearl
A major partnership agreement was signed in late September between China’s leading tile manufacturer New Pearl and System of Fiorano.
The Foshan-based ceramic group has chosen System as its exclusive international technology supplier to complete the industrial conversion programme initiated a few years ago. The core of the partnership is New Pearl’s undertaking to renew its industrial assets with innovative production processes with low environmental impact. These include the new plant for large ceramic surfaces commissioned from System Lamina last Spring and due to come into operation by the end of 2017. Besides guaranteeing flexibility in size changeovers, the Lamgea mouldless press is able to deliver a high-performance industrial process with low energy consumption.
System’s technology has been extensively used since the early 2000s in the New Pearl facilities in Foshan (Guangdong) and Gaoan (Jiangxi). Alongside the first Rotocolor systems, the Chinese giant has now adopted no fewer than 40 new Creadigit digital inkjet printers on its production lines.
The technology partnership between the two companies was announced by the top managements of System and New Pearl during the evening organised by the Chinese group at the Lamborghini Museum in Funo d’Argelato (Bologna) during Cersaie 2017.
