More than 300 Sacmi MMC mills now installed
The latest order was from RAK Ceramics, which installed the new continuous modular mill in the large ceramic tile production plant equipped with the Continua+ line.
The latest order from the global giant RAK Ceramics brings to more than 300 the number of Sacmi MMC continuous modular mills installed worldwide, out of a total of more than 700 continuous grinding plants supplied by the Imola-based group to the world’s leading ceramic manufacturers. The new MMC mill installed in Ras-Al-Khaimah (UAE) further expands the plant where RAK Ceramics produces large ceramic panels and slabs using Continua+ technology.
The continuous grinding process was developed by Sacmi back in the mid-1980s, an extremely innovative solution that revolutionised the production process in terms of efficiency, versatility and the ability to adopt growing levels of automation. Since 2005, Sacmi grinding solutions have become modular, allowing for at least 15% greater energy savings compared to the previous range and much more extensive automation.
These solutions combine unique levels of performance with total reliability, as evidenced by the fact that the first continuous mill built back in 1984 is still in operation today.
