New orders for System-Nuova Era
Marazzi Group has commissioned partner companies System-Nuova Era to build a plant for the production of 6500 sq.m/day of porcelain tile in sizes 30x30 cm and 90x90 cm. The plant will be installed by the end of October and consists of a kiln loading and unloading system, two Robofloor units for the fired product storage plant and a series of connections and accessories. For its Italian and Spanish facilities, Marazzi has also adopted the 4Phases packaging system from System Ceramics to optimise packaging costs, especially for large sizes.
4Phases features a sorting and packaging system using a single 1200x1200 mm sheet of neutral cardboard from which all desired sizes can be obtained, allowing Marazzi to solve numerous issues relating to packaging of its ceramic products. The flexibility of 4Phases allows any order to be fulfilled immediately and enables boxes to be made in-house, eliminating the costs of industrial box production. The printers installed in the machine print the graphic designs straight away (logos, production information, codes, etc.). The system also has excellent environmental performance, including cardboard savings of up to 80% as well as substantial energy savings.
The order from Marazzi Group follows plants supplied recently to Coop Imola, Florim, Atlas Concorde, Refin, Emilceramica and Ascot, to which Nuova Era will also supply box loading machines for fired product storage.
