Polis Ceramiche chooses Sacmi solutions for large-size tiles
As part of the technology investments made in 2017, the historic Italian ceramic tile manufacturer Polis Ceramiche has adopted three new Sacmi machines.
Two of these, a PH7500 press and an ECP307 dryer, have been installed on the brand new production line that was started up in March this year and is used for the production of large-format porcelain tiles up to 800x1600 mm in size. The investment will enable Polis to expand and diversify its high-end output with an environmentally sustainable approach focused on cutting levels of consumption.
The PH7500 press, of which more than 100 units have been sold worldwide, ushered in the age of smart production in terms of its high pressing force combined with low consumption and high product quality.
Likewise the new ECP307 dryer downstream of the press features inverter-equipped fans, a solution intended to further reduce and optimise energy consumption.
The Sacmi order also included a PH6500 press, which joins the analogous machine already installed as part of a wide-ranging revamping and modernisation programme for the existing lines.
