Poppi clementino supplies plant to Peronda
At the end of 2009, Poppi Clementino secured a contract to supply an energy recovery system to the Spanish ceramic producer Peronda.
The installed plant consists of a special plate heat exchanger which generates hot air from the cooling of kiln fumes. The air is carried by means of a pipe system to five horizontal dryers, guaranteeing a 20-25% reduction in the consumption of natural gas by the installed burners.
The machines that can be fuelled by this recovered heat include spray dryers, vertical and horizontal dryers, pre-kilns, ambient heating devices and dry grinding mills.
Poppi Clementino has also installed another three energy recovery systems in Spain for companies operating in both the ceramic and heavy clay sectors. The presence of local technicians ensures a rapid response to customers’ requirements and the company has also installed numerous systems for ceramic colour manufacturers including Endeka, Esmalglass, Alfarben, Torrecid, Fritta, Esmaldur, Coloronda, Esmaltes, Vernis, Vidres and Salquisa.
