Sacmi supplies 4 new LaserMove LGVs to Duravit China

The new vehicles will support production expansion at the Duravit China 3 facility together with the new Sacmi casting and glazing lines.

The Duravit Group has purchased four new Sacmi LGVs for its highly automated and ultra-modern factory in Chongqing, China, bringing the total number of vehicles at the facility to 24.

To support the increased production output and improve factory logistics following the recent plant expansion, the new vehicles will be primarily assigned to the new section of the factory known as DCN3 (Duravit China 3).

With this investment, the company is looking to the future. The newly supplied LGVs will serve the new casting and drying area and the new Sacmi RobotGlaze glazing cells due to come into operation by the end of 2024.

All the new LGVs are equipped with lithium batteries, whose greater efficiency, longer lifetime and faster charging compared to traditional batteries greatly improve vehicle performance.

This latest shipment continues the longstanding partnership between Sacmi and the Duravit Group, supporting the growth of the Chinese branch with a focus on total automation, batch tracking, logistics efficiency and performance monitoring. At the same time, Sacmi has completed numerous projects at the Duravit Group’s major global sites to support the sanitaryware multinational’s growth plans focused on quality and design.
