Simero is one of the companies focusing on large surfaces
System technology for the production of large ceramic surfaces is continuing to see rapid adoption in the Indian market.
Following agreements with Lioli Ceramica and Simola Tiles, System has received a new order from Simero International, a ceramic company operating in the Morbi district (Gujarat).
Simero is due to install the LAMGEA 22000t mouldless pressing system from System for the production of ceramic panels in sizes up to 1.6 x 2.4 metres.
One key factor behind the choice of this technology was its ability to produce ceramic tiles in thicknesses ranging from 6 to 12 mm, making it possible to combine high performance with flexibility of production as part of a lean manufacturing vision.
The products manufactured by Simero in the new facility will be used as traditional floor and wall coverings and as ventilated facades. The products will be distributed mainly in the domestic market, but the Indian company also plans to begin exporting to Europe and the United States.
For installation and start-up of the LAMGEA press, System will make use of System India’s local technical staff with the technological support of the parent company.
