Siti-B&T Group to supply new line to Russia
The Russian ceramic sanitaryware manufacturer Z.A.O. Fayans has signed a new agreement with the Sanitaryware Division of Siti-B&T Group for the purchase of an Astra shuttle kiln for firing and re-firing of sanitary articles.
The agreement builds on the long-term partnership between the two companies and confirms the validity of the new technical and organisational proposals of the Italian group, which combines the expertise and experience of Siti-B&T Group with that of the subsidiary SIR Automazioni.
The firing system, developed using energy reducing technologies complying with the standards of the Greenergy SITI-B&T line, will deliver high quality and productivity characteristics. The kiln will be capable of producing 150,000 pieces/year, allowing the Russian company to double its production and reach an output of around 300,000 pieces per year. The flexibility of the machines supplied by SITI-B&T will enable the production mix, which currently consists of 90% WCs, to be easily modified in response to future market requirements.
The new ASTRA kiln, with a useful loading volume of 59 m³ and a two superimposed layer loading surface of 78 m², will begin production in the first few months of 2010 and will operate alongside the shuttle kiln successfully installed in 2007.
