Speed Dry from Ancora: 50 machines sold in just a year
Following its launch two years ago, the Speed Dry squaring machine from Ancora has become well established both in Italy and in foreign markets in Europe, America and Asia with 50 machines commissioned in the last year alone.
This success owes much to the advantages of dry grinding in terms of cost and productivity (longer plant lifetime and lower maintenance, lower energy consumption and wear of diamond tools), as well as the specific characteristics of Speed Dry, which is suitable not only for single and double fired tiles but also for porcelain tile.
The Ancora line attains higher levels of productivity than are possible with the conventional wet squaring process. It delivers high production speeds both for classic tile sizes and for large panels up to 1600x3200 mm. Its innovative patented system removes thick layers of material with a high degree of efficiency, enabling it to handle up to 30 m of material per minute. It uses high-speed spindles equipped with a highly effective cooling system and exclusive tools with compressed air cleaning.
Driven by the commercial success of the dry squaring machine and the higher demand for finishing machines for ceramic panels, Ancora saw a sharp increase in sales in 2016 with exports making up more than 70% of the total.
