System supplies automation technology to Bolivian firm Faboce
After starting up three Creadigit E digital printers at its facilities in Tarija, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz de la Sierra in early 2017, the Bolivian ceramic tile producer Faboce has once again chosen System technology for the modernisation of its end-of-line department with the adoption of cutting-edge industrial automation solutions.
Specifically, a Multigecko sorting system, a 4Phases packaging machine and a Falcon Portale palletiser were started up in November at the production unit in Santa Cruz de la Sierra on the new line for cutting, rectifying and honing full-body and glazed porcelain tiles in sizes up to 120x120 cm.
These solutions enable Faboce to handle small, medium and large sizes with a single technological set-up, making for a more dynamic and rapid process. The 4Phases packaging machine, which packages tiles in a matter of seconds, ensures size change flexibility and reduces environmental impact through lower use of cardboard.
The equipment supplied by System to Faboce also included two automatic Robofloor systems for pallet handling and storage developed by Nuova Era.
These latest investments will enable the Bolivian company to strengthen its position in the high end of the market with added-value products ranging from techno-granite to glazed porcelains. As well as serving the domestic market, Faboce also exports to Chile, Argentina and Peru.
