Tubądzin teams up with Sacmi for expansion in the high-end market

The Polish company has completed an ambitious three-year investment plan involving installation of a third kiln and spray dryer, expansion of the body preparation department and adoption of a new Continua+ line.

Tubądzin, a leading Polish ceramic tile producer with 30 years of experience in the industry, has successfully completed a major production expansion and product range extension plan in collaboration with Sacmi. The project was launched in 2020 and implemented over a three-year period with the primary goal of improving energy performance.

The first step, completed in 2020, involved installing a third firing line complete with a Maestro FMD295/147 kiln for finely decorated high-end products. The specially configured kiln delivers the highest levels of product quality thanks to optimised firing curves and precise control over the delicate cooling phases.

“This investment has enabled us to strengthen our position in the very high end of the market, namely that of decorated ceramic products,” commented Mirosław Jędrzejczyk, General Manager of Tubądzin. “With our expanded portfolio we guarantee customers access to a wide range of high-end tiles.”

The next step in the project came in 2021 with the installation of a new Sacmi ATM65 spray dryer, which brought significant improvements in energy efficiency thanks to a tangential air inlet for improved heat distribution and the use of new insulation materials. This new machine enabled Tubądzin to significantly reduce its average gas consumption, combining sustainability with cost reduction.

Tubądzin completed the third step in its expansion plan in 2022 with a further upgrade of the body preparation department and installation of a Continua+ line for the production of slabs and sub-sizes. This technology guarantees higher product quality and maximum versatility in thickness and size control, allowing the company to meet the latest market demands and trends.

“We chose Sacmi for many reasons, the most important of which is its ability to supply the widest range of technologies in line with our goals and the needs of our customers,” said Jędrzejczyk.
