Turkuaz Seramik chooses technology from Marcheluzzo Ceramic Division
Marcheluzzo Ceramic, a division of Marcheluzzo Impianti, has successfully started up six air conditioning systems at the two facilities of Turkuaz Seramik, a leading Turkish ceramic sanitaryware producer. The systems have been in operation since October 2016 and optimise the yield of the newly installed casting plants thanks to improved conditions of temperature, humidity and ventilation in the various stages in the process.
The Kayseri plant, which includes a centralised gas air treatment unit, has a complex ducting system to optimise the temperature and humidity of the workshop and localised extraction for the casting benches based on spagless technology (“Antifog” system) with the possibility of flow inversion (dedicated heating with hot air flowing under the benches). The Antifog system has solved the problem relating to the diffusion of saturated air in the form of mist, thereby improving the factory’s productivity.
The Incesu system uses overheated water from a thermal power plant. It manages two casting workshops with spagless technology, a pre-drying area for the pieces after de-moulding, a casting area with pressure casting plants and a traditional servo-mechanised casting area.
