The British group’s ceramic division closed the last fiscal year with revenue up 15.8% to £282.4 million or 42.6% of consolidated group revenue.

Mohawk Industries, SCG and Lamosa lead once again the rankings. Victoria PLC is the new entry among the big names. For most of the big groups the outlook for 2020 is not overly pessimistic, with declines below -10% and even some players anticipating growth.

The flooring multinational completes its fifth acquisition in the ceramic sector and the second in Italy.

The UK multinational is expanding its presence in the ceramic sector, where it already operates with Ceramica Serra in Italy and Keraben and Saloni in Spain.

Following the acquisition of Keraben in November 2017, on 6 August the British group Victoria PLC announced the purchase of Ceramica Saloni for 96.7 million euros.

The 56.5 million euro operation will enable the manufacturer and distributor of carpet, LVT and parquet to diversify its business by entering the ceramic tile sector.
