Gabbrielli Technology: the vertical Data-Plucometro/Data-Dimension for measuring small and large size tiles
By combining its Acometro and Plumetro devices, Gabbrielli Technology has developed the Plucometro, which consists of a horizontal plane with three supports and a three-point reference system with 6 digital gauges for making six measurements simultaneously. The reference standard for dimensional and quality control of ceramic surfaces is ISO 10545-2 published in 2000. However, tile dimensions have increased considerably since then and large-format tiles are now produced with small thicknesses and highly flexible materials.
This means that it is no longer possible to use the horizontal Plucometro to perform this check as surface bending gives rise to an error that exceeds the required degree of precision. To solve this problem, Gabbrielli Technology has developed the vertical Data-Plucometro/Data-Dimension for measuring small and large size tiles.
