The big players in the sanitaryware sector (2023)

Ceramic World Review updates the 2023 rankings of the world ceramic sanitaryware manufacturers by volumes of production. Roca, Kohler and Geberit confirm their leading positions. See who is next.

With a production of 24 million pieces in 2023 and manufacturing plants in Europe, South America, North Africa and Asia, the Spanish multinational Roca Group confirms itself as the biggest ceramic sanitaryware manufacturer in the world; its production is sold with the brands Roca, Laufen, Celite, Incepa, Parryware, Jika, and Ying. The Spanish group, which had sold its tile division to Lamosa in August 2021, closed the 2023 fiscal year with a turnover of 2,057 million euros, down 1.7% on 2022 (2,092 million euros).

The US Kohler Group follows, with an estimated production capacity of 25 million pieces, installed in 15 facilities in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Morocco, Thailand, India, Indonesia and China.

It is followed by the Swisse Geberit group, which can count on an estimated production capacity of 14.5 million pieces, installed in its European plants in Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Italy and Ukraine.
