The December issues of Ceramic World Review and Tile International are online

The December issues of the two magazines Tile International (featuring an extensive report on Cersaie 2014) and Ceramic World Review are now online. Ceramic World Review no. 109, in which we look back at 2014 and welcome in the new year, will be distributed at leading international trade fairs over the next few months. The first will be Indian Ceramics in Ahmedabad on 21 January, where the annual special issue in Hindi will be presented and distributed, followed by Cevisama in Valencia on 9 February, Unicera in Istanbul on 24 February and Revestir in São Paulo on 3 March.

As is now traditional, the December issue of Ceramic World Review contains the Focus on the sanitaryware industry, beginning with a wide-ranging study of world sanitaryware imports/exports. According to the study, world imports/exports picked up in 2013, increasing by 6.2% to reach 2.5 million tons. The world's largest exporter is China, the biggest importer the United States.

The study, conducted by the Acimac Statistics Department, is complemented this year by an up-to-date picture of the largest world groups in the sector: 22 major companies, mainly multinationals, located all over the world and led by Roca, Kohler, Sanitec and Toto, in that order.

This issue also covers raw materials preparation technologies (dry and wet grinding, powder colouring and software for reducing the cost of bodies) and as usual features interviews with key players in the ceramic industry. In this issue we meet Federica Minozzi, now operations manager of the Iris-Fiandre Group, Ashok Kajaria, Chairman of the leading Indian group Kajaria, and H. Kalbassi, Chairman of Marjan Tile, who discusses the state of the industry in Iran.

We wish all our readers a good end to the year and a successful 2015... and of course, happy reading!
