Sicer Group opens a new factory in India
The Italian glaze and colour producer is continuing its global expansion strategy with the opening of a new facility in Morbi
Sicer, a long-established ceramic glaze and colour manufacturer based in Fiorano Modenese (MO), has announced the opening of a new facility in India, the latest step in its ongoing global expansion strategy. This strategy has previously seen the start-up of manufacturing plants in Italy, Spain, Mexico, Indonesia and the United States.
The facility, strategically located in Morbi, Gujarat – India’s largest ceramic tile cluster – reflects Sicer’s commitment to excellence, merging tradition with technology and underscoring Sicer’s reputation as a global ambassador of Italian quality and innovation. The new state-of-the-art facility will feature a production centre, modern offices, a well-equipped laboratory and a stunning gallery welcoming local customers. With this new facility, Sicer Group aims to respond more rapidly to the needs of the fast growing Indian market.
Following the acquisition of its Spanish site three years ago, Sicer is now continuing its process of international growth aimed at ensuring a robust manufacturing presence and service network in the world’s principal ceramic production districts. This year, it also plans to open a new showroom at its US facility in Lebanon, Tennessee, which was inaugurated in 2023.
As a leading provider of vitrified and decorative ceramic products and a trusted partner of the world’s top ceramic groups, Sicer has staunchly maintained its Italian identity over the years, leveraging it as a hallmark of excellence. The group’s original facility in Torriana (Rimini) remains at the heart of its operations and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and plants.
