Sicer presents its first Sustainability Report

The document offers a detailed overview of the activities and responsible practices implemented by the Italian frit and glaze producer across environmental, social and governance areas.

Sicer, an Italian company based in Fiorano Modenese that specialises in developing, producing and distributing frits, glazes, grits and inks for ceramic glazing and decoration, has released its first Sustainability Report for 2023. This important milestone underscores the company’s commitment to integrating more sustainable and responsible practices across all aspects of its operations.

The report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Standards (2021 version) and addresses tangible issues alongside impact and diligence principles. It offers an in-depth overview of Sicer’s environmental, social and governance initiatives, with particular emphasis on human rights and anti-corruption efforts.

The report covers Sicer’s two Italian sites and will be drafted annually with the involvement of the heads of the company’s various departments. This process aims to ensure that sustainability is considered in every business decision, supporting a business model that balances economic success with social and environmental progress.

“The decision to embark on this journey stems from the awareness that companies have both the power and the responsibility to make a significant impact on society and the economy,” said Chairman Gianfranco Padovani. “Embracing sustainability reflects a new vision of entrepreneurial activity, where the company’s ultimate goal is to generate long-term economic, environmental and social value, benefiting all stakeholders and addressing the needs of future generations.”
