A new plant is due to come into operation at the site in Baxter, Tennessee this spring. It will focus on the production of large sizes and trims, products that are in strong demand in the US market.
The Italian ceramic group is expanding its presence in Portugal, a market where Gres Panaria Portugal has been operating for years with two production sites in Aveiro and Ilhavo.
Portobello’s new state-of-the-art factory in Tennessee will be started up in April and will have a yearly production capacity of 3.6 million sq.m of ceramic tiles.
The Brazilian ceramic tile group posted consolidated net revenue of R$1,700 million (approx. €324.2 million) in the first nine months of 2022, up 21.4% on the same period in 2021. EBITDA grew by 27.1%.
The Brazilian group’s accounts are solid and resilient: revenue grew by 50.4% and net income and EBITDA both surged by more than 169%. Work has begun on the new site in Baxter, TN.
After an excellent performance in 2020, the Brazilian ceramic group posted 70.7% growth in revenues in the first half of 2021. The start-up of the new factory in Tennessee is confirmed for 2023.
The new plant in Tijucas, Brazil, capable of producing slabs up to 1800x3600 mm in size was started up last autumn. A large digital event was held on 14 October to mark the launch of the new collections.
The Brazilian ceramic tile manufacturer has chosen Baxter, Tennessee as the location for its first US production facility, due to be completed by 2021.
The start-up of Gamma 108 XD 4.0 system and Gamma 148 XD systems brings to 15 the number of Durst digital printers in operation at Cerâmica Portobello.
The Brazilian group has adopted Gamma 98 XD digital technology at its Tijucas site and on the new Pointer plant started up in April in the northeast of the country.
