Domus Chemicals launches Serol RT 182
The term “syrups” refers to ground colouring oxide mixed with vehicle in a ratio that varies according to the required density. The same procedure is applied for neutral bases. Serol RT 182 keeps the solid part in a perfect suspension which has a gelatinous consistency at rest but when agitated reacquires fluidity and flowability.
The means that the syrup does not give rise to problems of sedimentation even in colorimeters lacking a timed stirring device. Due to its high degree of fluidity, Serol RT 182 can be used to prepare syrups and neutral bases at a density varying between 1900-2000 g/l. The density can even be lowered further without the components separating.
The screen printing pastes are now prepared by mixing the various coloured syrups with the neutral base in percentages established by previous tests.
If the screen printing paste is to be used on machines with silicone rollers, it is brought to the application density by adding Serol RT 800, whereas if applied to traditional machines the required density is achieved by adding Amicol 500/L.
