Linear Design is the latest result of LB’s experience in the field of press feeding technologies for porcelain tile production: a multi-layer feeding system that offers the possibility of installing a variable number of working stations according to the specific manufacturing requirements.
In its basic version, Linear Design installs a feeder for basic powders and two feeding/dosing units for decoration and for obtaining the desired aesthetic effect. The system can be equipped with additional feeding stations for a higher number of decoration steps.
Linear Design delivers extraordinary manufacturing flexibility, allowing for the decoration of ceramic tiles by superimposing layers of spray-dried and micronised powders, flakes, granules and powder glazes. Furthermore, LB’s patented feeders allow the possibility of using movable screens to obtain products with a totally innovative design.
Linear Design feeder can be used to produce smooth, lapped, structured or polished tiles while maintaining the same design. The honing stage that is essential with conventional press feeders to make the design visible is therefore no longer necessary. The aesthetic effect is visible after pressing and no further treatment is required.
